QR Codes for your Products

The new QR Code Plugin creates a QR Code for each of your products.

If you don’t know about QR Codes and you’re wanting to expand your market into Japan then you should seriously consider using this Plugin. QR Codes are essentially cool little barcodes that everybody in Japan can scan with their mobile phone (because their phones are years cooler then your phone!!).

When they scan the code your product details show on your phone with an image and a direct link to the product. Our QR Code generator used the Goolge Charts API to create the Code, here is what Google has to say about QR Codes:

QR Codes are a popular type of two-dimensional barcode, which are also known as hardlinks or physical world hyperlinks. QR Codes store text, which can be a URL, contact information, telephone number, even whole verses of poems!

QR codes can be read by any device that has the appropriate software installed. Such devices range from dedicated QR code readers to mobile phones.

    Dan,

How to display the QR code in a front-end product page automatically?

Is there any simple way to do this?

Unfortunately you might have to commission a developer to do that for you if you can’t do it with the native functionality… it’d probably take a good dev an hour or two – maybe even less :P
