I moved my web site to a new hosting account and decided to create a fresh install of WP E-Commerce using Version 3.7.6.7. I have uploaded the gold cart files to the wp-content/uploads/wpsc/upgrades/ folder as directed, but the Gold Cart options tab does not pop up.

Hi jnmunson,
Your files are in the wrong place,
If you are using wp-e-commerce 3.7.6.7 the you should be uploading Gold_Cart_Files_plugin to the main wp plugin directory (the same place that wp-e-commerce is in)
Your version of Gold Cart is the wrong one please download the new one (Gold_Cart_Files_plugin) from:
http://getshopped.org/extend/premium-upgrades-files/
You will need your session ID (this can be found on your purchase reciept)
Be sure to back up and delete the old one first as this will cause conflicts, one more thing to note:
Gold Cart does not have it’s own menu it unlocks more options under the normal menus of wp-e-commerce.

Sorted, @deepbluemarine incase your are a retart like me! type in your credentials again and click the ‘submit’ button, Not the ‘reset API’ button… I am such a d1ck – all good now!

Hi Guys,
I have had real trouble with opening the download file: ‘gold_cart_plugin-2.9.4.zip’
When opeing on a mac, the duplicate file: ‘gold_cart_plugin-2.9.4.zip 2.1.cpgz’ is created
Opening this .cpgz does exactly the same in some kind of loop where it will duplicate another .zip and so on.
I have tried using the native program on my mac to unzip both files and also tried using Stuffit but Stuffit will not recognize the files.
I then entered my API key on this page: http://getshopped.org/extend/premium-upgrades-files/ which downloaded ‘gold_cart_plugin.zip’ which unzipped just fine but as I am using WP e-Commerce version 3.8.6, I need to upload the ‘gold_cart_files_plugin’ directory but the parent folder is called ‘gold_cart_plugin’
Should I just upload that?
2+2 just dont quite make 4 at the moment so I dont want to rush into making a mistake.

I recently wiped my database clean so I could start my site from scratch. My API key worked to download gold cart, but for some reason does not work to activate it within WP. Keeps telling me that my API key is incorrect.
My old site was http://www.royalwoodconcepts.com/wordpress When I set up the new site its the same Domain, I just dropped the /wordpress. Could this be the issue?

I have the same “Sorry, the API key was incorrect” -message when I try to activate. The key worked fine when I downloaded the files.
I had used the API key on another address, which I wiped clean.

Have the same problem “Sorry, the API key was incorrect.” i used the API when i was working locally for testing.. now I’m the domain i want to activate the product and i have this error… is there anything else i have to do?? :s

any reason why the gold cart feature such as grid view and gallery view are stilled grayed out, can’t be selected?

Sorry for my bad English, I have used Google translation so I hope you know what I mean.
I have four WP sites where I also have your shop, one of these I have already Gold cart ($ 40) bjelkengren.se, but now I want to purchase an additional Gold cart to a new site kameraprylar.se. When I look it says that I should restore the API key and free to do it from the other site. But I want to keep the site (bjelkengren.se) plus I upgrade another (kameraprylar.se).
When I buy a new upgrade of you to my new WP site, I can then use the new zip file that I download to upgrade my old site that I already have Gold Basket of the old API key.
