WordPress themes refer to your overall WordPress theme, NOT to your WP e-Commerce theme (which is different).

While you can use pretty much any WordPress theme of your choosing (provided it’s a valid theme), there are a number of WordPress themes out there, that were created specifically with WP e-Commerce in mind. You can check them out here.
