With these settings you can choose, not only what information you would like to collect on the checkout page, but also, what would you like to happen on the page.

Misc Checkout Options

Users must register before checking out: Do you want to force your users to register before they are allowed to buy anything? There are pros and cons to each. It’s totally up to you.

Lock Tax to Billing Country: Do you want to lock your sales tax to the country you’re located in? This is only applicable if you are in a country that has only one sales tax.

Disregard Billing State for Tax Calculations: Do you just want to charge sales tax for the location (albeit online) of your store. For example, if you live in California, do you just want to charge everyone California sales tax, even when they live in other states?

Enable Shipping Same as Billing Option: This will add a little checkbox on the Checkout page which will copy over the billing information to the shipping information upon selection.

Form Fields

Here you can customize the form fields to be displayed on your checkout page. You can also select whether or not the information is mandatory.
