Updated from 3.8.8.5 to 3.8.9, and checkout page ceased to work. The header of the page is displayed correctly, but everything below the title of ‘Checkout’ is gone, including footer. At a guess this is some PHP error? Unfortunately we can’t enable PHP errors due to hosts settings. Disabling shipping via Store Settings >> Shipping >> Use Shipping and the checkout page resumes function perfectly. Obviously we need shipping so this is only a workaround that might help diagnose the issue. We have no wp ecommerce plugins. Have checked all files uploaded fine during upgrade, including re-uploading everything. Ideas? |

Hi Mihai, thanks for replying. Although 90% sure this is theme unrelated, it was worth a look as you suggested. Unfortunately have exactly same problem in a fresh install of 2010 v1.4 |

Only other change, not sure if relevant: I also changed the ‘Base country/region’ to ‘Great Britain (ISO 3166)’ from UK legacy as recommended by update. Though I have tested the shipping module with base region set to Germany just in case there was an issue with new standard; same problem. This all on WordPress 3.4.2. |

I’m having the same problem and REALLY need a fix. Is there any way to revert to an older version of WPEC? |

Can you check your PHP error log and see what’s being reported there – you should see a Fatal Error. If you can post the error that might well help. |

I’ve experienced the same problem here. Once on a staging site and now on a production site. On the staging site I had checked the error logs (nothing) and tried all the fixes mentioned here and on WordPress’s forum and nothing worked. I finally went into cPanel & performed a database repair, that fixed it. Now, on the production site I’m seeing the same issue. With shipping turned on everything below the header in vanishes. Repairing the DB through cPanel doesn’t fix it this go around though. Again, no php errors are being thrown (I operate the server and have confirmed all error reporting is on). I’m spending the rest of the day dedicated to figuring this out, so please, if anyone has an update let me know! Thanks |

I’ve furthered the investigation & found that only if products are in the cart and shipping is turned on that checkout dies. I’ve created a new staging site with a fresh database and WP installation, all plugins deleted except WPEC. The theme is Twenty Eleven. I’ve checked for jQuery files and the only ones showing on the offending page source are /wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.7.2 and /wp-content/plugins/wp-e-commerce/wpsc-core/js/jquery.infieldlabel.min.js?ver=3.8.9.3.630512. |

Hi Lee- As I stated, no PHP errors are being thrown. I’m tailing the logs as Root and have logging and tracking enabled in php.ini It’s just not throwing fatals and the checkout page is blank when products are in cart & shipping is enabled. I’ve had debugging enabled in WP as well, still nothing. can you suggest any further debugging to perform? Running: Thanks |

Please add me to the growing list of people experiencing the Blank-Checkout-Page-When-Shipping-Is-Enabled. Using version 3.8.9.3, with the UPS rate calculator turned on and configured. When the UPS info is missing, the page is not blank, but then the calculator doesn’t work. As soon as I fill out all the required information, the page turns blank again. Oh, and yes, my items do have their weights and dimensions configured… I’ve been trying to figure this out for many hours now; deactivated all other plugins, changed themes, reinstalled the plugin and reentered all the information… to no avail! Does anyone have a solution or should I start over again, with a different plugin? |

I am having the same problem with 3.8.9.5. and Gold Cart 2.9.7. so I disabled the gold cart and it worked again confirming what someone posted in another thread that the latest gold cart is incompatible with the latest plugin and am going to rollback to 3.8.8.5. |

Just out of curiosity – if you’re seeing this problem – what version of PHP are you running with? |

Hi Lee- I am running PHP Version 5.3.14. I am using wp 3.5 (just rolled back from 3.5.1). I tried deactivating shipping settings and I still got the blank checkout page as well. I have all other plugins turned off. I have a php error log and wp debugging on and no errors are showing up. Sincerely, |
